Dr. Jerald James
Audiologist
Dr. Jerald James has been a hearing healthcare provider for the past 26 years. He presents a wide variety of audiological experiences and expertise. He has worked in an Ear Nose and Throat setting, a hospital setting, a private practice setting and in academia. His most recent position was a faculty member in the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Doctor of Audiology program. Dr. James spent 16 years in that capacity teaching courses and mentoring many audiology students in clinical practicum. Dr. James is also a proud member of the United States Army Reserves.
For the past 33 years, Dr. James has played a significant role in managing the hearing conservation program for our soldiers in various military installations throughout the country. LTC James, as he is known in the Army just completed a two-year tenure as the Commander of the 7242 Medical Support Unit in Gulfport, MS. Dr. James specializes in helping patients find appropriate solutions for their hearing healthcare needs whether that’s hearing protection or amplification devices. Dr. James believes in a personalized patient centered approach to hearing health care. He believes that hearing and communication are a pillar of living and that it is his job to encourage, educate and be an advocate for patients throughout the entire journey of better hearing.
Dr. James has been married to his wife Davelynn James for the past 25 years. They have two adult children. Dr. James’ hobbies include working out daily, enjoying local music venues and attending New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans sporting events.
